An Easier Way To Mate, Part Deux (With Video!)

Last November, I posted a tip on how to more easily mate components using an Alt-Drag technique.  A reader had a question about it, so I thought I would create a video demonstrating it.  I hope it helps.  (Tip: switch to full screen or view in HD on Vimeo)

This is my first attempt at video in quite a while, and I was impressed with the results!  Sorry about the audio, but I don’t think it’s too bad.

Like it/hate it?  Let me know what you think in the comments!

SolidWorks World 2008 – Register Now!

As Richard, Jeff, and Devon have mentioned, the registration page for SolidWorks World 2008, January 20-23, 2008 in San Diego, CA, is now live.  So head on over there and sign up!

If you’ve never been, it is an awesome experience!  Not only do you get 3 days of SolidWorks training in all kinds of different topics of your choosing, but you get to network with fellow SolidWorks users, employees, VARs, and third party developers.  In the General Session every morning, there is always an interesting keynote and they also show some sneak peeks of the upcoming release, which will be SolidWorks 2009 by then!  You also get to see some very interesting and innovative products that have been designed using SolidWorks in the Product Showcase.

SolidWorks also has a few resources to help you prove your case for attending, if needed.  They have several "Boss Justification" letters that you can use to justify attending the conference.

So, sign up and I will see you in San Diego in January!
