Registration for SolidWorks World 2010 is Open!

SolidWorks World 2010 Registration

I received an email earlier today informing me that registration is now open for SolidWorks World 2010!  SolidWorks World 2010 will be held January 31-February 3, 2010 in Anaheim, California.

To register, simply point your web browser of choice to http://www.solidworks.com/swworld/.  The first early bird deadline is October 9, 2009.  If you register on or before that date, you can save $200 off the regular conference admission.

SolidWorks World 2009 Tweetup

SWW09 Badge Last (Saturday) night, all of the SolidWorks bloggers and folks from the SolidWorks Twitter community who had already arrived in Orlando met up in the Dolphin bar area of the Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort.  It was awesome to meet with some new folks who I have never met or met only known online, and to also catch up with some old friends.

There were also many SolidWorks employees mingling around, and even Jon Hirschtick and Jeff Ray were making the rounds talking to the users.  That’s one of the really awesome things about an event like SolidWorks World – you have access to the movers and shakers behind the SolidWorks software, and even the top brass is very approachable.

I will have all my pictures up shortly at Flickr (and be sure to check out the SWW09 Flickr group for more images), but here are a few interesting images from last night:

Be sure to avail yourself of the opportunity to make connections with other users and the SolidWorks folks.  And if you see me in the Partner Pavilion or just wandering the halls, please come up and introduce yourself; I would love to meet and get to know other users!

SolidWorks World 2009 Registration Goodies

SWW09 Messenger Bag One of the small, but neat things to me about attending conferences is all the swag you get.  And as always, the first swag that you get at SolidWorks World are the bags and T-shirts that SolidWorks gives attendees when they register.

This year, the bags that SolidWorks are giving out are heavy messenger bags.  While I personally prefer a backpack for carrying a laptop and other materials around (and I will probably just stick with the one I got last year), these bags are very sturdy and attractive, and they have more compartments and storage capacity than the ones they gave out in New Orleans two years ago.

SWW09 ShirtThey also have some very cool looking shirts:

I can’t wait to check out the partner pavilion and see what other goodies I can pick up!  And, oh yeah…maybe I will learn a thing or two also! ;)

SolidWorks World 2009 – I’m On My Way!

I’m sitting in the Huntsville International Airport waiting to board my flight to Orlando, FL, to attend my fourth SolidWorks World (SWW) conference.  I hit the ground running as soon as I touch down this afternoon with a blogger roundtable meeting, and then a tweetup of all the bloggers and SW folks who frequent Twitter.

I’m looking forward to catching up with some old friends and meeting all the new folks I’ve met online since the last SWW conference!

Be sure to keep a watch on your RSS feeds for all the information streaming out of SWW.  All the bloggers will be pumping information out during the conference to their blogs and also on Twitter (Twitter Tip: check the hashtag #SWW09!).  And Lou and some others will also be live-blogging the events at http://www.solidworksheard.com/live-coverage.
